Last week was a good one, more new songs and played our first gig in what seems like ages.. Rehearsal was woeful, which apparently is a good sign, and so it turned out to be. The newer songs went down really well which was encouraging for us, particularly as we hadn't heard what Catherine was going to sing on one of them until we were playing it live. Worth the wait it was, it was one of the highlights of the set. We did a cover of Love Song by The Cure which got a great reaction, we'll be doing that one again I think. She's been writing alot recently, as we all have, and there are a few older songs we've been meaning to record for a while so the summer will be busy. We're planning our first American trip in September, hopefully we can make it happen. We've got three gigs in the Czech Republic to look forward to in June, apart from that we've decided to keep playing live to a minimum for the time being, there's just not enough hours in the day. That said, we do want to test the songs out live so there'll be the odd gig here and there. We'll keep you posted... |
